Brendon started competing at the age of six, racing go-karts in the South Island, deftly moving up through the categories before making his car racing debut at the age of 13 in a Formula Ford. He raced in the Formula Ford Championship for three years, finishing ninth, third and second. Aged 17, Brendon then commenced four seasons in the Toyota Racing Series, competing strongly and quite often winning against young internationals, many of whom are signed to F1 driver development programs, even though his own track time was primarily limited to each year’s five-round TRS championship.
In 2017 Brendon showed his true capabilities and gained valuable international experience, competing in the Formula 4 US Championship on some of America's most legendary circuits. Racing with Kiwi Motorsport, Brendon finished 4th in the Championship.
2018 has seen Brendon and his team tackle the New Zealand Endurance Series in the ITM Mike Racing Mercedes SLS AMG - finishing 2nd overall in the North Island Series, co driving with Christina Orr-West, Brendon is looking forward to getting back behind the wheel in the South Island.
