For the first time ever, the South Island hosted a Supercars Championship round, with Ruapuna Raceway welcoming the historic Supercars ITM NZ Double Header.
Kiwi driver Matt Payne made Supercars history at the inaugural ITM Christchurch Super 440, marking a landmark moment for New Zealand motorsport.
